Mrs. Dick Janssen Died At Iowa Falls

Mrs. Dick Janssen of Iowa Falls, age 73, died at her home Saturday night following a brief illness. Funeral services were held at the Church of the Open Bible Thursday (today) at one o'clock with burial in the First Christian Reformed cemetery near Wellsburg.

She was born Antje Kramer in Germany Sept. 21, 1873 and in 1893 was married to Dick Janssen in Germany. In 1903 the family came to the United States and located near Wellsburg and in 1927 moved to a farm near Iowa Falls and in 1940 into Iowa Falls.

She is survived by her husband, five daughters, Mrs. Teresa Simpson and Mrs. Verna Awe, both of Mason City, Iowa, Mrs. Earl Shane, Mossville, Ill., Mrs. John Fritzel, Iowa Falls, and Alice at home. Four sons, Gerald Janssen of Wellsburg, Edward K. of Glendale, Cal., John W. and George, both of Iowa Falls, and four sisters living in Germany.
