They settled in the Wellsburg area, and in 1898 moved to Wright county. In 1905 Andrew returned to this community and worked for farmers. On December 29, 1910 he and Flora Ruter were married. They moved in 1911 to their farm southwest of Wellsburg, where they lived until March 5, 1947, when they moved to their present home in town.
Last December the Janssens observed their Golden Wedding anniversary.
Mr. Janssen had been in failing health for several years, which was aggravated by a heart attack he suffered in 1955. He had been confined to his home for the past year.
Surviving are his widow; his daughter Grace, at home; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Koert Janssen, nephews and nieces.
His parents, two brothers, Ausbrand and Koert, and one infant sister preceded him in death.
