Services Thursday For John Riebkes

Funeral services for John J. Riebkes, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at his home northwest of Wellsburg and later in the First Christian Reformed Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Riebkes, 51, died Monday of carcinoma in a hospital where he had been a patient for five years.

He was born in German township on July 5, 1903, and married Anna Huesman on Dec. 30, 1925. The couple farmed in the Wellsburg area throughout their married life.

Survivors include the widow, five children, Sylvia, Larry and Leland, all at home; Melvin of Wellsburg; and Elmer, Iowa Falls; and one grandchild.

Also surviving are one brother, Raymond, of Wellsburg, and five sisters, Miss Tena Riebkes and Mrs. Louis Wulf, Wellsburg; Mrs. Henry C. Nederhoff, Grundy Center; Mrs. Andrew Miller, Ackley; and Mrs. Fred Getting, Iowa Falls.

Pall bearers will be Peter E. Ruter, Roy deNeui, Bernard Reents, Will Riekena, Abe deNeui and Ernest deNeui. Flower attendants at the funeral will be Mrs. Roy deNeui and Mrs. Abe deNeui.
