H. J. Lindaman Died Friday Noon

Henry J. Lindaman died at noon on Friday, January 25th, at his home in Wellsburg. Death followed an illness of two years. He was afflicted with hardening of the arteries. He was 55 years old last November.

Mr. Lindaman had resided in this community all of his life. He was a man of splendid character and he was held in high esteem by all neighbors and friends. News of his death was received with deep regret by all who knew him.

Henry Lindaman was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Lindaman, among the early residents of this part of Grundy county. There were 13 children in this family, eight of whom, four sons and four daughters, are still living.

Henry was born in Pleasant Valley township Nov. 27, 1896. He attended rural school and after leaving school he remained on the farm until he moved to Wellsburg two years ago.

On March 20, 1924, Henry Lindaman and Florence Ertmoed were married. They began housekeeping on the farm three miles west of Holland, where they resided continually until they moved to town where they purchased a fine home. They left the farm on account of Mr. Lindaman's health.

Surviving members of his family are his wife. The couple had no children. Surviving brothers are Heye Lindaman, John J., Jake L. and William. Surviving sisters are Mrs. Peter Klinkenborg, Aplington; Mrs. Riebke VanLoh, of Aplington; Mrs. Lou VanLoh, of Wellsburg and Mrs. Henry Akkerman, Wellsburg. Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral Services Tuesday
Funeral services were held at the First Christian Reformed church west of Wellsburg Tuesday. Services at the home were at one o'clock and later at the church. There was a very large attendance at the service. The service was conducted by Rev. John Olthoff, pastor of the Second Christian Reformed church in Wellsburg. Burial was in the cemetery adjoining the church.

Casketbearers were nephews of the deceased. They were Jake B. Lindaman, Warren Lindaman, Harold Lindaman, Lloyd Lindaman, William Klinkenborg and Henry Akkerman.
