Funeral Services Tuesday For Gepka L. Bunger

Funeral services for Miss Gepka L. Bunger were held on Tuesday afternoon at 1 p.m. at the Doyen Funeral Home and at 1:30 p.m. at the Wellsburg Reformed Church.

Rev. Gideon Wolbrink was officiating clergyman. Two duet numbers were sung by Mrs. Douglas Geerdes and Mrs. Robert Valentine accompanied by Miss Marcella Neessen, organist. The flower attendants were Mrs. Kenneth Bunger and Mrs. Basil Snyder.

Pallbearers were Basil Snyder, Kenneth Bunger, Coert H. Bunger, Tielko H. Bunger, John E. Ruter and Eike Ruter. Interment was made in the First Christian Reformed Church cemetery.

Miss Bunger passed away very suddenly Saturday afternoon around 2:15 o'clock at her home due to an apparent heart attack. She reached the age of 76 years, 9 months and 20 days.

She was born on a farm in Shiloh township, Grundy county, on July 25, 1894, the daughter of Lambert C. and Grace (Ruter) Bunger. She attended the rural school in the area. She and her brother Aldrich have lived on the home place all of their lives.

She made confession of her faith in Jesus Christ on July 19, 1918 at the First Christian Reformed Church. She transferred her membership to the Wellsburg Reformed Church on July 5, 1936.

She was preceded by her mother who passed away in 1939, her father who passed away in 1955, and a brother, Coert L. Bunger, who passed away at Camp Pike, Ark. on October 6, 1918.

She is survived by her brother, Aldrich L. Bunger of Wellsburg.
