August Wellman Taken by Death

Cedar Falls--August Wellman, who resided on a farm six miles west of Cedar Falls, died at his home Saturday night following a stroke.

He was stricken while walking in the yard at his home Friday evening and never regained consciousness, members of the family said.

He is survived by four sons and a daughter. They are Walter, 1921 Walnut street; Werner, 1909 Clay street; William, Winifred and Inez, residing at home; a brother Adolf, in Germany.

Mr. Wellman was preceded in death by his wife, Frieda, Dec. 8, 1945, and one daughter, Irene.

Funeral service will be Wednesday at 2:15 p.m. at the Dahl funeral home and another service at St. John's Lutheran church, Eighth and Tremont, at 2:30 p.m.

Mr. Wellman was a member of this church. Burial will be made in the Fairfield Lutheran cemetery seven miles west of Cedar Falls on the 27th street road.

The body is at the funeral home.
