Death of Margaret Becker

Margaret Becker, the six year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Becker, died at the Mercy hospital at Cedar Rapids last Saturday morning. The remains were brought to this city Sunday morning and interred in Clark cemetery Monday afternoon. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. E. Hastings at the house at 2 p.m. Margaret had been a patient and acute sufferer during the past five months. She contracted a cold in December. This developed into pneumonia. Her lungs became so badly effected that two operations were made at the hospital at Cedar Rapids. She rallied several times during her long siege of sickness and often she was believed to be safely recovering. She was an exceedingly bright and pretty child and was idolized by her parents.

Those from abroad who attended the funeral were Dr. Fred Ladd and wife, Cedar Rapids, Miss Nannie Ladd, Dr. Ladd and wife and Miss Florence Ralston of Traer and Mrs. Mable L. Bourne of Evanston.
