Obituary of Mrs. Stuck

Elizabeth Ann Morrison was born in Fayette county, Pennsylvania, April 28, 1832. She was married to Parks Boyd in June, 1852. Three children were given to them, only one surviving, Mrs. L. Butler of Fayette Co., Pa. Her husband enlisted in March 1864 and six weeks later was killed in battle. She married John Stuck in the fall of 1875. One son was born to them who died in youth.

Sister Stuck was converted at the age of eighteen and joined the Christian church, and lived a consistent Christian life.

She came to Grundy Center last October to visit her brothers and sisters. She was taken severely ill April 1st and died April 3rd at the home of her sister, Mrs. Hannah Stuck.

She was one of a family of eleven children, six of whom survive, Mrs. Hannah Stuck, and Jeff Morrison of this city, Ross and J. L. Morrison of Morrison, Mrs. R. Whipkey of Rock Rapids and Stewart Morrison of Fayette county, Pa. A nephew, Thos. L. Butler, from that county came to attend the funeral. The funeral services were held in the M.E. church Monday, Rev. Pye officiating. She was buried in Clark cemetery.
