Mr. Albert Niehaus
The death of Mr. Albert Niehaus, aged brother of Casper Niehaus, occurred at the latter's home in Grundy Center last Tuesday morning at three o'clock, following a short illness.
The funeral services were held from the German Presbyterian church here, conducted by the pastor, Rev. H. F. Sinning, last Friday afternoon, and interment was made in the local cemetery.
Albert Dick Niehaus was born in Stoppelmoor Heide Ostfriesland, Germany, September 7, 1838, at which place he lived until the death of his mother in 1894, when he came to America to make his home with his brother, Casper, who at that time lived near Conrad. Later the family moved to Grundy Center, and Mr. Niehaus continued to make his home with them.
Living to the ripe old age of eighty-one years, five months and ten days, his was a busy and useful life. He was greatly beloved by all who knew him, and will be missed in the community in which he has spent so many years. He leaves his brother, Casper, also a sister who still resides in Ostfriesland, besides other relatives and many friends.
