Carl Brown, 91

Carl W. Brown, 91, of Grundy Center, died on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center. Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 7 at the First Presbyterian Church in Grundy Center with burial following at Rose Hill Cemetery in Grundy Center.

Carl was born on July 16, 1911 in Artisian, SD, son of Arthur and Jessie (Swain) Brown. He moved to Grundy Center in March of 1930. On December 25, 1935, he was united in marriage to Edna Bloxham in rural Grundy Center. In September of 1937, the couple moved to their farm near Grundy Center where Carl lived until the present. Edna passed away September 27, 1995. Carl was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents; wife; four brothers; and a sister. He is survived by three sisters.
