Mrs. Marvin Clark Dies In Waterloo

Mrs. Marvin (Ruth) Clark, 67, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, January 2 at the Schoitz Medical Center in Waterloo. Services were held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Memories with burial in Rose Hill cemetery, Grundy Center.

She was born January 15, 1917 at Waterloo, the daughter of Roy and Lillian Frazee Avery. She married Marvin Clark, formerly of Grundy Center, on May 11, 1940 at Waukon. Marvin died in 1980.

Mrs. Clark retired in 1984 after being employed 20 years at Powers Manufacturing Co.

She is survived by four sons, John D. Clark of Davenport, Kenneth Palmer of Pacific Palisades, CA, Charles Clark of Willmar, MN, and George R. Clark of Waterloo, a daughter, Diane Slattenow of Waterloo, 21 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a brother, Frank Avery of Waterloo and a sister, Iona Lee of Broomfield, CO.
