Olla Longnecker Services Held

Mrs. Olla Longnecker passed away at 5:15 a.m. Tuesday, February 22, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls.

Funeral services were held at the Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home, Grundy Center, on February 25 at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Calvin W. Vanderwerf officiated.

Craig DeBerg sang "In The Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross." He was accompanied by Mrs. Raymond Appel, who also played selected numbers for the prelude and postlude.

Casket bearers were Lloyd Dreesman, Antko Clapp, Harry Cooley, Loyd Mast, Joe Dunham and Dale Mast. Mrs. Antko Clapp and Mrs. Harry Cooley were in charge of floral arrangements.

Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery, Grundy Center.

Mrs. Longnecker was born November 20, 1898 at Stewardson, IL, the daughter of Joseph Edward and Harriett Ellen Davis Allgood. She attained the age of 84 years, three months and two days. She was married to Guy Raymond Longnecker on September 11, 1918, in Grundy Center. She lived in Waterloo most of her life, and had just entered the Cedar Falls Health Center a short time ago.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, seven brothers and five sisters. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Graham of Long Beach, CA and Doris Longnecker of Waterloo; one granddaughter and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established. The Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home, Grundy Center, was in charge of arrangements.
