Beenken Infant Died April 19

Hope Linette, infant daughter of Ronald and Linda Boldt Beenken of R.R.2, Box 85F, Gilman, died at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 19 at the Marshalltown Area Community Hospital. The baby was born February 25, 1979 in Marshalltown and was one month and 24 days of age at the time of death from a respiratory disorder.

Graveside committal services were held Saturday morning at 10:30 in Fairview cemetery, Grundy Center. Rev. Donald Scheller of the United Methodist Church at Gilman officiated. Following the committal service friends and relatives met at the Chas. Beenken Jr. home for fellowship and lunch.

The baby is survived by her parents, Ronald and Linda, two brothers, Ronald Jr., 11, and Jeremy, 8, paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wilbur Beenken Sr. of Grundy Center and maternal grandmother, Mrs. Florence Boldt of Marshalltown, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial fund has been established. The Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
