Former Grundy Man, Thiel DeVries, Died

Thiel DeVries, age 69, of Parkersburg, died Monday evening, August 28, at about 10:30 p.m. at Allen Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in Parkersburg on Thursday. Burial was in the Rose Hill cemetery at Grundy Center.

He is survived by his brother, George DeVries of Parkersburg and a brother-in-law, Wayne Church, with whom he made his home.

Schwartz Engelkes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
