Ada Mutch, 92, Died In West

Miss Ada Mutch, 93, died February 15 at the Beverly Manor Convalescent Center in Seal Beach, Calif. where she had been confined for seven years. Services were held Monday at the Westminister Memorial Park in Seal Beach. The body was cremated and the cremains will be brought back to Grundy Center for burial in the Grundy Center cemetery.

Ada was born March 29, 1881 in Grundy county, Iowa, the daughter of Peter and Mary Morrison Mutch. She was a long time active member of the Methodist church in Grundy Center and during World War II she served as Home Service chairman of the Grundy chapter of the American Red Cross. In this volunteer work she became well known thruout the county. She was also a Past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of the Pythian Sister lodge.

Following the death of her mother in 1948 she moved to an apartment in Grundy Center where she lived a few years. She then went to Klemme, Iowa to spend some time with her sister and family. About 20 years ago she moved to Leisure World at Seal Beach where she remained until she entered Beverly Manor.

Miss Mutch is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Vera Dulmes, Mrs. Hazel Gray, and Mrs. Lida Filkins all of Seal Beach, Calif., also one sister-in-law, Mrs. Will Mutch of Grundy Center, three nephews, Harold Mutch, Grundy Center; Dr. Tom Gray, San Jose, Calif. and Dick Dulmes of Los Angeles, and one niece, Mrs. Donnabelle Hall of Reinbeck.
