Beulah Hasbrouck Died Unexpectedly

Miss Beulah Naoma Hasbrouck, 68, died unexpectedly at her home in Grundy Center Thursday night, November 16 from an apparent heart attack. She had lived alone since the death of her parents.

Memorial services were held Monday afternoon at the Ferree-Oltmann Funeral Home. Rev. Richard Johnson, pastor of the First Baptist church in Kasson, Minn. officiated. Mrs. T. Cooper Evans was organist and Mrs. James Willms, soloist. Interment was in the Grundy Center cemetery.

Honorary casketbearers were Donald Hasbrouck, Leonard Grimsley and Jack Koobs. Others were Claire Koobs, Roger Koobs, Harvey Sietsema, Phil Strehle, Lester Wood and Marlin Harken.

Beulah was born February 25, 1904 in Grundy Center, Iowa, daughter of Ernest and Emma Beyer Hasbrouck. She graduated from the Grundy Center high school, then worked for a short time with The Grundy Register. She was secretary-bookkeeper for Herman Iblings in the Chevrolet garage for over 30 years. At the time of her retirement she was working for the Van Wechel Motor Company.

Her survivors are one brother, Marlyn Hasbrouck of New Hartford, one sister, Mrs. LaVine Koobs of Waterloo and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.
