Harry Burk Died, Buried Here

Harry Burk, 78, died last Thursday at a hospital in Rock Island, Ill. He had been in failing health for several months, and confined to a nursing home. Services were held in Rock Island Saturday morning at the First Baptist church. Burial was in the Grundy Center cemetery Saturday afternoon at 2:30.

Harry was born in Grundy Center, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Burk. He was raised here and graduated from the Grundy Center high school in 1912. After his marriage he moved to Hampton where the family lived several years before moving to Rock Island. He was a car salesman for many years and later worked for the Triple A. Mr. and Mrs. Burk observed their golden wedding anniversary two years ago.

Survivors include his wife, Anna, two sons, Robert of Chicago, Richard of Warren, Ohio, and Bonnie, Mrs. Wallace Froman of St. Paul, and also several grandchildren.

Lunch was served to the family and friends at the Baptist church here following the interment service.
