Funeral Friday For Mrs. Agnes Travis

Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes Travis, 67, of Grundy Center, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Ferree Funeral home with Rev. E. E. Basye in charge. Burial will be in the Grundy Center cemetery.

Mrs. Travis died at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital Monday, where she had been taken that morning suffering from asthma, influenza and complications.

Agnes Staker Travis was born February 18, 1896, in Tama county, the daughter of Henry and Wilhelmina Staker.

She was married to Horace Travis in 1926.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Ralph Marken, Morrison; one son, Henry Albert Travis, of Grundy Center; one step-daughter, Alice, at home; and one step-son, Earl, of Eldora.

Also two sisters, Mrs. Emma Fink, Traer, and Mrs. Richard Niemand, Spencer; five brothers, Jack and Henry of Traer; Edward of Conrad, Louis of Gladbrook, and Julius of Lincoln; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, and two sisters.
