Mrs. V. Hasbrouck Dies At Her Home

Mrs. Viola Hasbrouck died last Wednesday evening at her home in Grundy Center after a long illness. She was 86 years old.

Mrs. Hasbrouck was born Mar. 27, 1876, in Grundy county. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaiah Morrison.

She was married to Ike Hasbrouck, May 22, 1895, in Grundy Center and they resided on a farm a mile and a half southeast of Grundy Center. Mr. Hasbrouck died June 24, 1937. The following January Mrs. Hasbrouck moved to Grundy Center and made her home here continually.

Surviving are one daughter, Lucille Hasbrouck, who resided with her mother during late years; one son, Eldin, Grundy Center; two grandsons, Max Hasbrouck, Davenport, and Dr. Paul Hasbrouck, Bensenville, Ill.

She was a long and faithful member of the Methodist church in Grundy Center.

Funeral services were at the home early Saturday afternoon and at two o'clock at the Methodist church. Rev. James Barron of Reinbeck officiated at the service in the absence of Rev. E. E. Basye, who was ill. Burial was in the Grundy Center cemetery.

Music at the service was by Mrs. Glenn Cone and Mrs. Arthur Trevillyan. Pallbearers were Chas. Baldwin, Floyd Morrison, Lyle Hawn, Floyd DeSeelhorst, Robert Stevens and Charles Reynolds.

Mrs. Lloyd Freed and Mrs. W. T. Heckt had charge of the flowers.
