Graveside rites for Mrs. Elsie Danner, 86, who died at Hershey Convalescent Home today at 7:45 a.m., will be held at Grundy Center.
Mrs. Danner was a resident of Iowa City until last August.
She was born March 15, 1876 at Platteville, Wis., the daughter of Henry and Mary Stark Kliebenstein. She married Frank Danner and was a member of the First Presbyterian church of Iowa City.
Prior to her marriage, Mrs. Danner taught school at Grundy Center, Cedar Falls, Waterloo and Cedar Rapids. She was a member of the PEO sisterhood.
Surviving are one nephew, Eugene Kliebenstein of Waterloo; three nieces, Mrs. E. A. Thornquist of Muscatine, Mrs. Ralph Hart of Reseda, Calif., and Mrs. James Dorso of Hayward, Calif., and one brother, Ernest Kliebenstein of Hayward, Calif.
Mrs. Danner was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and two sisters.
Friends of the family may call at the George M. Wittich Funeral home after Friday noon. Graveside rites will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Former Grundy Woman Died in Muscatine
Graveside services were held Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Elsie Danner a former resident of Grundy Center who died at a nursing home in Muscatine, Iowa last Thursday. She was 87 years old.
Mrs. Danner was born in Grundy Center and she grew up here. Her maiden name was Elsie Kliebenstein, a daughter of one of the early Grundy Center families. She married Frank Danner who died some time ago. After leaving Grundy Center, Mrs. Danner made her home in Iowa City for several years.
Surviving is a brother, Ernest of Hayward, California, four nieces and nephews. One nephew Eugene Kliebenstein resides in Waterloo.
