Funeral services were held at the Ferree Funeral Home and later at the Methodist church Saturday for Mrs. Lola Minor, 67, who passed away Thursday morning at 3 o'clock in the Grundy County Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for five months. Burial was in the family lot at the Grundy Center cemetery. Rev. E. E. Basye officiated at the services.

Lola Reid, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Reid, was born on a farm in Washington township on July 29, 1889. She graduated from Grundy Center high school in 1908, and attended Gates Business college in Waterloo. Prior to her marriage she was employed in the office of the late Dr. L. Y. Carpenter.

Lola Reid and Walter Minor were married in Minneapolis on December 28, 1911. They made their home on the Reid farm in Washington township until his death in 1949. After that Mrs. Minor moved to Grundy Center.

Mrs. Minor had suffered several strokes in the past six years. On July 13 she was taken to the hospital following a stroke that completely paralyzed her left side. Her condition gradually became worse and twelve hours before her death she entered into a coma.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Velma Murray of Janesville and Mrs. Wava Meester of Holland; also five grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, a brother in infancy and her husband.

Mrs. Minor was active in many church and fraternal organizations. She was a member of the Methodist church, W.C.T.U., King's Daughters, Woman's Club, Rebekahs, Garden Club, and the Woman's Relief Corps.
