Services Friday For Mrs. Lola Erickson

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 8th at 2:30 p.m. in Ferree Funeral home in Grundy Center for Mrs. Lola Erickson, age 84, who passed away Monday evening, July 4th. Death came as a result of complications of old age.

Mrs. Erickson was born in Grant township, Grundy county, February 6, 1871, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gibson. She was married to Frank Erickson in 1892. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in March 1942.

They resided on a farm in Grundy county and later moved to Fairfield. Because of ill health and age, she entered the Ruth Grayson nursing home in August 1950.

She was preceded in death by her husband in September 1942, and by an infant son. She is survived by two sons, Theron, of Fairfield, Iowa, and Lawrence, of Edgerton, Kansas; three nephews, one niece, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in the family lot in the Grundy Center cemetery.
