Harriett Dunham Funeral Monday At Grundy Center

Shell Rock--Funeral services for Mrs. Harriett Ellen Eben Dunham, 68, who died Friday at the home of her son, Homer, near Shell Rock, will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Grundy Center Baptist Church. The Rev. F. Donald Worden, pastor of the Shell Rock Baptist Church, will officiate. The body will be taken to Grundy Center from the Jebe Funeral Home at Shell Rock Monday afternoon.

Mrs. Dunham was the wife of Charles Dunham, who preceded her in death in 1929. She was born in Illinois Feb. 7, 1885. Death followed a stroke suffered by Mrs. Dunham recently.

Funeral Services For Mrs. Chas. Dunham

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Baptist church in Grundy Center for Mrs. Harriet Dunham, who died at the home of her son near Clarksville last Friday. Death followed a stroke. The officiating pastor was Rev. Donald Worden, pastor of the Baptist church in Shell Rock, of which the deceased was a member. Burial was by the side of the husband in the Grundy Center cemetery.

Mrs. Dunham, whose maiden name was Harriet Algood, was born in Illinois. She was 68 years old. She was married to Charles Dunham in Illinois and shortly after the marriage the couple came to Grundy county, where they lived on farms near Grundy Center and Buck Grove for several years. The husband died 1929.

Surviving are four children: Joe Dunham, Waterloo; Homer, Shell Rock; Mrs. Thelma Siefken, Holland; Mrs. Lillian Seehusen, Minnesota.

Mrs. Dunham came from a family of eleven children. Nine are now living. They are Dick Algood, Plymouth, Minn.; Dewey, Igloo, South Dakota; Will, Waterloo; Albert, Holland; Mrs. Mary Mast, Beaman; Mrs. Rose French, of Grundy Center; Jess Algood, of Morrison; Mrs. Ola Longworth, Waterloo. One brother, Frank, is dead.
