Mrs. Rose Mae Hohmeyer, 56, of 665 Kern street, died at 6:40 a.m. Sunday of a cerebral hemorrhage.

The former Rose Mae Ranger was born Oct. 28, 1895, in Grundy Center, the daughter of Edgar and Mattie Ranger. She was married on Oct. 30, 1912, to Fred Bloxham. He died in March, 1932. She was then married in November, 1933, to Elmer Clark. He died in 1934. On Oct. 6, 1943, she was married to Ferdinand Hohmeyer, who survives.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Everett Dufford, Shell Rock, and Mrs. Edward Beenken, route 4; one son, James Roscoe Bloxham, 1518 Commercial street; stepmother, Mrs. Juna Ranger, Hudson; one half-sister, Mrs. Blanche Smith, Hudson; two step-sons; three step-daughters and six grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are pending at O'Keefe & Towne funeral home.

Former Grundy Woman Died In Waterloo

Mrs. Rose Mae Hohmeyer (the former Rose Mae Ranger) died Sunday evening at Waterloo following a cerebral hemorrhage. She was 56 years old.

She was born in Grundy Center Oct. 25, 1895. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Ranger. She was married three times. Her first husband was Fred Bloxham. The couple were married at Grundy Center in 1912. He died in 1932. The next year she was married to Elmer Clark, who died a year later. She and her surviving husband were married Oct. 6, 1943, and they lived since in Waterloo.

Funeral services were held in a funeral home at Waterloo Tuesday. Burial was in the Grundy Center cemetery.
