Last Rites Wednesday For Mrs. Jack McWhirter

Mrs. Jack McWhirter who was born at Morrison in Grundy county 85 years ago, was buried in the Grundy Center Cemetery last Wednesday. She died at Spencer on December 3rd.

Services were held at Spencer and conducted by the Methodist minister of that city. The minister, together with the daughter, Mrs. Chas. Cuttell and husband, accompanied the body to Grundy Center where a short graveside service was held.

Mrs. McWhirter's maiden name was Leticia Morrison. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Morrison, early residents of Grundy county. She and her husband made their home at Spencer during nearly all of their married life. The husband died a few years ago.

Surviving are the daughter and one son, Dr. Ralph McWhirter from Allison.
