Fred DeNio Died at Independence

Fred DeNio died at the state sanitarium in Independence Sunday, March 28, at the age of 80 years, 7 months and 25 days. He had been in the institution since 1929.

He was born Aug. 3, 1856, in New York state. He moved with his parents to Grundy county in 1877. He is survived by his widow, who lives in California, two sisters and one brother. Mrs. Jake Essig of Grundy Center is one of the sisters.

Funeral services were conducted from the Coffman funeral home on Tuesday afternoon with Rev. A. G. Annette in charge. Burial was made in the Grundy Center cemetery.
