Sarah C. Green
Mrs. Sarah C. Green was born in Southbridge, Mass., and died in Los Angeles, Sept. 21, at the age of 92.
She lived in her New England home until her marriage to Wm. H. Green April 9, 1878, and came as a bride to Grundy Center, Ia., where she lived for seven years. During this time her three children, two daughters and a son, were born. The daughters are living.
In 1892, when Mrs. Green became a widow, she returned again to Grundy Center, where she made her home until June 1906. During those years she was an active member of the Methodist church--being especially interested in the Missionary Societies and the Sunday School, where for several years she taught a large class of boys. Mrs. Green was blessed with a cheerful, friendly disposition which she retained along with her clear mind up to the time of her death. Her long life was spent in doing good.
Interment took place in the Clark cemetery Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The following relatives were present at the funeral: Katherine K. Green, Minneapolis; Miss Lurana A. Warner, Mason City; Mrs. L. W. Northfield and son Harold, Minneapolis; Chas. Kleespie, Arthur Kleespie, Zearing; Joe Kleespie and family of Fifteen Mile Grove.
