Conrad Man Dies In Marshalltown Hospital

Nels C. Nelson, who made his home in the vicinity of Conrad many years, died in a Marshalltown hospital last Thursday. He was a native of Denmark, where he was born June 11, 1869. He came to America when about 14 years of age and spent several years around Nevada, Iowa. He then went to Marshalltown where he worked several years for Densel & Wilbur. He spent the rest of his life working on farms around Conrad. He was confirmed in the Lutheran church in Denmark.

He leaves one sister in Denmark and two nieces.

Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 5, in the Engelkes Funeral home, with Rev. Smith of the First Presbyterian church officiating. Burial was in the Grundy Center cemetery.
