Joseph E. Robins Dies Suddenly; Heart Attack

Joseph E. Robins died suddenly early Saturday morning from a heart attack. He had not been sick. He was 75 years old. He was born in Lockport, New York, October 9, 1864. He came to Iowa and Grundy county in 1872 and resided practically all of the past 62 years in this county.

He was united in marriage to Maggie Frazee in 1910. One son, Raymond, was born to this union. The wife died in 1918. Three years later he was married to Elizabeth Misner, who died in 1932.

Mr. Robins had been a member of the Methodist church for a number of years.

Surviving relatives are the son, Raymond; three brothers, Thomas and Warren of Grundy Center and Louis of Brandon, Iowa, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Coffman Funeral Home Monday, April 29, with Rev. R. A. Hallett and Rev. K. J. Stratemeier officiating. Pallbearers were Geo. and James Eggleston, Ed Allen, John Hook, James Cech and W. D. Miller.

Out-of-town relatives who attended the service were Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Robins, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Robins and daughter, all of Brandon; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Frazee, Janesville; Mrs. Lillie Avery, Ruth Palmer and Iona Brandes and Kenneth Canfield, all of Waterloo; Mrs. Bert Eno, Merle and Guy Eno, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schwenn, of Marshalltown; Mr. and Mrs. Burt Goodell, Eldora; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Robins, Reinbeck.
