End Comes Saturday For Mrs. Dora Wallace

Mrs. Dora Wallace, wife of the late Lew Wallace, died at 11:25 Saturday forenoon at the home of her niece, Mrs. J. W. Drake, in Washington township from uremic poisoning.

Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at the Coffman funeral home in Grundy Center. The services were conducted by Rev. O. R. Jones, pastor of the Methodist church at Reinbeck. Burial was in the Grundy Center cemetery.

Mrs. Wallace was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Shafstahl. She was born in Ogle county, Ill., April 20, 1867. She would have been 73 on her next birthday. She came to Grundy county with her parents during her girlhood and resided here ever since.

On April 23, 1889, she was married to Lewis Wallace. One son, Frank, who resides at Morrison, was born to this union.

Other surviving relatives are one brother, Jonas Shafstahl, of Morrison; two nephews, Roy Shafstahl of Morrison and Henry Appel of Grundy Center, and three nieces; Mrs. Luva Dalton of Waterloo; Mrs. Eva Drake, of Grundy Center; Mrs. J. W. Jans, Reinbeck.
