Miss Mary E. O'Connor

Funeral services for Miss Mary E. O'Connor, 82, formerly of 31 Lafayette St., will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, with the Rev. A. A. Sodawasser, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery at Grundy Center.

Parish rosary services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home.

Miss O'Connor died at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Woodlawn Convalescence Home of complications of age.

She was born at Beaman on Oct. 22, 1891, the daughter of Mert and Elizabeth Roach O'Connor. She moved to Waterloo in the early 1930s and was employed as a saleslady for the New York Fashion and Palace Clothiers for many years. She retired several years ago. Miss O'Connor was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church and the rosary society.

Survivors include two nieces, Mrs. Marialyce Gottchalk of Racine, Wis., and Mrs. Patricia Minor of Cedar Rapids; and two nephews, H. A. O'Connor of DeKalb, Ill., and E. J. O'Connor of Cedar Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister.
