Mrs. Rosella Giesey

A Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church for Mrs. Rosella Giesey, 76, of 821 Franklin St.

She died Thursday at 10:45 a.m. of a heart attack.

Officiating will be the Rev. Maurice Mullan.

The body was taken to the University of Iowa scientific Laboratory Thursday for medical research, as she had requested.

She was born May 14, 1890, in Springbrooke, the daughter of Chris and Mary Anne Kegler. She married Edward Giesey Feb. 28, 1911, in Dubuque and moved to Grundy Center.

Survivors include a son, Edward, 1502 W. 7th St.; two daughters, Mrs. Lewis R. Davis, 821 Franklin St. and Mrs. Robert E. Brainard, 1818 Maplewood Dr.; a brother of Jensen Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Loren Wachtel of Aieo, Hawaii and Mrs. Joe DuChainie of 307 Polk St., Waterloo; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Friends may contribute to St. Patrick's Memorial Fund.

Dahl Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
