George DeGroote Dies Tuesday

George DeGroote died Tuesday afternoon at his home in Beaver township. He was 72 years old.

Funeral services will be held at the home at 12:30 on Friday and at 1:30 at the Reformed church at Stout. Burial will be in the Stout cemetery. The services will be conducted by Rev. W. J. Heyenga, pastor of the Stout church.

Mr. DeGroote was born in the Netherlands October 7, 1874. He came to this country and to this county in 1900. On February 12, 1912, he was married to Tena Boelman and the couple resided continually on a Beaver township farm.

There are two surviving children, Louis of Parkersburg and Mrs. Herman Copper of Parkersburg. There are three brothers living. They are: Gus from Dike, Henry from Renville, Minn., and Louis from Parkersburg. A brother and a sister preceded him in death. There are two grandchildren.
