Funeral Services For Juren DeVries Held Tuesday At Ackley

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Ackley Christian Reformed church for Juren DeVries who died Saturday. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. DeVries was born March 12, 1880, in Bunda, Germany. He came to America with his parents when a year old. On March 9, 1908 he was married to Gertrude Mein at Ackley. In 1945 Mr. DeVries moved from his farm near Ackley to a home in Aplington.

He is survived by his widow and three daughters, Mrs. George Abbas and Mrs. Chris Janssen both of Aplington, Emma Jean of Rochester, Minnesota. He is survived by one son Benjamin of Denver, Colorado, and a brother Ben of Aplington. He was preceded in death by one daughter and two sisters.

Those from Wellsburg attending the funeral were Mrs. Adolph Deters, Mrs. George Paxton, Mrs. H. C. Neessen and Evelyn.
