Former Grundy Woman Dies In Waterloo

Mrs. Vera Wagoner, whose maiden name was Vera Lillibridge, a former resident of Grundy county, died in her home in Waterloo last Wednesday from a cerebral hemorrhage. She is 61 years old.

Burial at Grundy Center
Funeral services were held Saturday in the Church of the Brethren at Waterloo with Rev. Dumond in charge. The body was brought to Grundy Center for burial by the side of her first husband.

She was born to Lowen and Myra Wilson Lillibridge, Oct. 5, 1887, in Kossuth county. She was married to Arlington Sampson at Grundy Center, Dec. 2, 1908. Following his death she married Oreon Wagoner, Oct. 3, 1921, at Waterloo.

She was an active member of the Church of the Brethren.

Surviving are her husband, three sons, William L. Sampson, St. Paul, Minn., Harry E. Wagoner, Nigeria, British West Africa, and Cecil Wagoner, Waterloo, and 5 grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Lon and Ray Lillibridge, Rockwell, Ia., and Wm. Lillibridge, Berkeley, Calif., and two sisters, Mrs. James Ingledue, Mason City, and Mrs. Mina Rasmusson, Austin, Minn.

A son, Gordon Sampson, and a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Ransom, preceded her in death.
