Rites At Beaman For Dewey Allen

Dewey S. Allen, son of Mathilda and W. L. Allen, was born April 1st, 1895, at Beaman, Iowa, and died March 28th, 1949, at the Murphy Memorial Hospital at Red Oak, Iowa.

The early part of his life was spent in this vicinity. He had lived in the vicinity of Stanton for the last 20 years.

He is survived by his wife, 3 daughters by a former marriage and five grandchildren. The daughters are Mrs. Maydene Willman, Wyoming, Iowa, Mrs. Joyce Queen, St. Louis, Mo., and Mrs. Vera Osborn, Omaha, Neb., also two sisters, Mrs. Chris Bowers, Grundy Center; and Mrs. Harry Wilson, Secor, Ill., besides many other relatives and a host of friends.

Services were held Thursday p.m. at the Perryman Chapel at Red Oak, Rev. Fred Janssen of Staton officiating, singing by Mrs. Orrin Carmichael and Mrs. Dale Petty, organist, and at Beaman Friday p.m. at the Methodist church, Rev. M. L. Sunderlin officiating, singing by Ben Rowe, Charles Nickerson, Clare Myers, Fritz Viering, pianist, Mr. Webb.

Interment was in Oakland cemetery.
