Henry DeVries Dies Monday At Reinbeck

Henry DeVries died on Monday at his home at Reinbeck. He was 84 years old. He was born March 17th, 1864, in Germany. He came to America in 1886 and farmed near Reinbeck until 1903 when he moved to Buffalo Center where he remained on a farm nine years when he went to Elkton, Minn. Four years later he returned to Reinbeck and remained there.

Funeral services were at St. John's Evangelical church in Reinbeck Wednesday afternoon. Burial was in the Reinbeck cemetery. Surviving are five children, Mrs. Helen Horstman, Saratoga, Ia.; Harm, Adams, Minn.; Mrs. Henrietta Gornar, Brooten, Minn.; Mrs. Tillie Powers, Mason City; Mrs. Ida Beilher, Chicago, five stepchildren, Frank Manlick and Henry Manlick, Little Falls, Minnesota, and Herman Manlick of Grundy Center, Mrs. Elizabeth Seerien and Mrs. Anna Tetzner, both of Reinbeck; also one sister in Germany; preceding him were his wife, five brothers and three sisters.
