2-Month-Old Baby Dies

Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Coffman Funeral home for Donna Rae Lynch, two-month old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lynch, who was found dead in her crib Sunday morning.

Death had been caused by strangulation due to enlargement of the thymus gland, and the infant died in her sleep. According to a physician, the thymus gland usually wastes away, but in this case it suddenly expanded.

Rev. Merton Green was in charge of the funeral services with burial in the Grundy Center cemetery.

Donna Rae was born September 28th, 1949. She was the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lynch, who live on a farm seven miles south of Grundy Center.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lynch and Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Baughman; her great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Lynch and a great-grandmother, Mrs. Minnie Haren.
