A family memorial service was held Tuesday for Janice S. Dodd, Davenport, at the United Methodist Church of Conrad.

Mrs. Dodd died Friday, July 16, 1999 at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Davenport, after a brief illness.

She was born February 1, 1918 in Conrad to Eugene and Sibyl (Thomas) Stover. The Stovers lived in Davenport for several years where Jan attended Sudlow Junior High and Davenport High School. They attended First Presbyterian Church.

Jan Stover married Lyle Dodd of Conrad on March 4, 1939. The Dodds lived in West Bend while they raised their family. They lived in Denver, CO before returning to Davenport in 1992.

Survivors include her husband, Lyle; daughters, Jinna Brander and her husband Ron of Branson, MO, and Joan Anderson and her husband, Dick of Davenport, sons, Bill of Billings, MT and Paul and his wife Susan of Minot, ND, seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Virginia Sayre of Brighton, MI; and sister-in-law, Hazel Dodd of Grundy Center.

She was preceded in death by a son, Les.
