Mrs. Hazel Greany Died In Hospital

Mrs. Hazel Greany died at 8:45 Tuesday morning at the Grundy hospital, where she had been a patient for but one day. Previous to her entrance into the hospital she was a resident at the Countryside Nursing Home in Grundy Center. She was 73 years old.

The body was taken to the Engelkes Funeral Home in Grundy Center, where funeral arrangements were made. There was a rosary service at the funeral home at 8 o'clock Tuesday evening. Services were held at Sacred Heart Catholic church in Grundy Center at 9:30 Wednesday forenoon. The service was conducted by Fr. P. C. Bodensteiner. Burial was in Sacred Heart Catholic cemetery, Grundy Center.

Born in Shiloh Township
Mrs. Greany was born on a farm in Shiloh township, Grundy county. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Huisman, who resided three miles north of Wellsburg.

On February 12, 1913, Hazel Huisman and Earl Greany were married. They resided on a number of different farms in Grundy county until 1927, when they moved to Wellsburg. Mrs. Greany's husband died March 2, 1953. She continued to reside in Wellsburg a number of years after her husband's death before coming to Grundy Center.

Surviving are one son, Duane, Grundy Center, 3 grandchildren, and one grandchild. There are three surviving sisters: Mrs. R. H. Renken, Aplington; Mrs. Elsie Lowe, Weslaco, Texas, and Mrs. J. L. Fischer, Wellsburg. Preceding her in death aside from her husband were her parents.
