Mr. Frank Cox, an old and respected citizen of Grundy County, died at the home of his son John in this township, Saturday, April 5, 1902. Deceased was about 80 years of age and had been quite feeble for some time. He was born in Ireland and came to America when a young man. He resided in Illinois a number of years and from there moved to a farm in this township where he was known as a kind father and neighbor. Funeral services were held at the Catholic church in Grundy Center Tuesday morning and the remains were laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery west of town. An aged wife, a son and a daughter besides several grandchildren survive to mourn his death.
