KEARNEY

Once more the hand of death has appeared amongst us. On last Thursday morning Mrs. J. C. Kearney was suddenly called to her last resting place. Vigorous though she was by nature, and needed as we would think, for some time yet by her family, notwithstanding, the decree of an all wise God must be fulfilled. "Man knoweth not the day nor the hour" Mrs. Kearney was a woman possessed of two qualities at least. She forgot not the God who gave her life. She was possessed of a large heart and this latter manifested itself chiefly in church circles. Five youthful children and a loving husband are made to feel her loss. The funeral, contrary to Catholic custom, was held at the home, owing to the repairs which the Catholic church of this place is undergoing. The deceased is considered a serious loss in this community. The husband and children have our tenderest sympathy in their hour of mourning.
