Kriz Infant Died Following Birth

Private family graveside services will be held Thursday afternoon at 3 p.m. at the Sacred Heart cemetery, Grundy Center, for Kartney Jaysen Kriz. He was born Thursday, June 15, 1978 at the University Hospital in Iowa City and died within an hour following his birth. Fr. Paul Grace officiated.

He was the son of Randall and Dee Anna Johnson Kriz.

Survivors are his parents, 802 K Avenue, Grundy Center, one brother, Ryan, age 2 1/2, paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Kris and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Claire Verly of Grundy Center, paternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Knoop of Clutier, maternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Gladys Verly of Grundy Center, maternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Schmidt of Union, and maternal great-great-grandmother, Mrs. L. E. Stark of Waterloo.

The Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
