Albert Hanisch

Services for Albert R. Hanisch, 94, of 5624 E. Airline Highway, Waterloo, were at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Catholic Church, Barclay, with burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Grundy Center at 1 p.m. A parish rosary was observed at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Oppold Funeral Home.

Mr. Hanisch died at 5:50 p.m. July 7 at St. Francis Hospital.

He was born March 11, 1882, the son of Ernest and Francis Prause Hanisch, in Rockitnitz, Austria and came to the United States in 1901. He married Margaret Baldwin Feb. 20, 1914. She died in October 1962. He homesteaded in North Dakota in 1906, and later farmed in Grundy and Black Hawk counties.

Survivors include three sons, Clarence, Waterloo; Edward, Calhan, Colo. and Donald, Waterloo; a daughter, Mrs. Agnes Hurley, Waterloo; a brother, Richard, Gladbrook.
