Obituary, Mrs. Henry O'Connor, Former Resident Grant Twp.

Funeral services for Mrs. Henry O'Connor, for many years a resident of Grant township were held at the St. Josephs Catholic church in Waterloo on June 20th. She was 91 years old.

Mrs. O'Connor was born in New Diggins, Wis., March 14, 1853, daughter of Michael and Mary Roach. She later moved with her parents to Darlington, Wis., where she was married to Henry O'Connor Feb. 28, 1881. They came to Grundy county, Iowa, that year and farmed there until retirement in 1919 when they moved to Waterloo. He died there in 1920.

Surviving are one son, John S. Connell, 339 Saxon street, Waterloo, Mrs. Mary Murphy, 908 West First street, and Mrs. Margaret Connell, 339 Saxon street, Waterloo; two brothers, Thomas P. Roach, Sherman, Tex., and Patrick R. Roach, in California; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth O'Connor, 31 Lafayette street, Waterloo; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. One son, Richard, four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
