Herman Cook Services Held

Herman B. Cook, 80, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, May 13, at the Cedar Falls Healthcare Center of natural causes.

Memorial Mass will be at a later date at St. Patrick's Catholic church in Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick's Catholic church, Cedar Falls and Sartori Home Healthcare.

Herman was born March 25, 1917, the son of Herman Klaas and Mary Lynch Cook. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII from 1942-45.

On July 10, 1939, he was united in marriage to Marie Casey in Cedar Falls. He was employed as a welder at John Deere & Co. from 1946-1979.

Survivors include his wife, Marie of Cedar Falls; 2 sons, Joe of Cedar Falls and Jude of Tuscon, Arizona; 2 daughters, Carol Jones of Spicer, Minnesota and Christine Johnson of Robbinsdale, Minnesota; and 5 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald Cook; 3 sisters, Mildred and Sadie Mae Cook and Henrietta Studer.

Herman Cook Services Friday

Herman B. Cook, 80, of Cedar Falls, passed away Tuesday, May 13, at the Cedar Falls Healthcare Center of natural causes.

Memorial mass will be held Friday, June 27, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Cedar Falls with Msgr. Paul Steimel officiating. Inurnment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Grundy Center at a later date. His body was donated to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

Memorials may be directed to the St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Cedar Falls, or Sartori Home Healthcare.
