Martin McGrath, an old soldier who went from here to the soldier's home a few weeks ago, died at the home last week and his body was brought here for burial. Interment taking place in the Catholic cemetery in Grant township last Sunday. He was about 78 years old and had several relatives in this section; Patrick McGrath, living in Grant, being a brother, and Mrs. Mary Stevens, sister. He also has a brother living in Cedar Falls and one in Story county. Deceased served during the war in the navy, on the ship Winnebago.
