Came To County 64 Years

Adam Crecelius, one of the real pioneers of the community, died at his home in Conrad, Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, following a protracted illness of infirmities of age.

Mr. Crecelius was 87 years of age. He first came to Grundy county from Indiana in 1853. After a short time here, he went to Missouri, returning a year later, and since which time, this has been his home. He was a veteran of the Civil War.

The deceased never married and during the latter years of his life, made his home with his niece, Miss Minerva Bartles, who took tender care of him until the end.--Conrad Record
