Rites Here For Harold Bruders

Final rites were held Thursday afternoon at the Longnecker Funeral Home in Eldora for Harold S. Bruders, 51, of Omaha, Neb. Bruders passed away Tuesday, Dec. 29, at the Immanuel Hospital in Omaha.

The Rev. Charles Albin, pastor of the Ivester Church of the Brethren, officiated. Interment was in the Melrose Cemetery.

Mrs. Robert Longnecker was organist. Pallbearers were Wilbur K. Baker, Roger Boike, George S. Clapsaddle, Albert Cox, David Morgan and Roy A. Petersen, and flower ladies were Mrs. George S. Clapsaddle and Mrs. Welby Morgan.

Harold S. Bruders, the son of Earl and Effie Cooney Bruders, was born December 8, 1913 at Fairfield, Ia.

On December 18, 1933, he was married to Pauline Beverlin at Fairfield. Mr. Bruders, although not a resident of this area, had many acquaintances in the Ivester community.

He had worked as a salesman for several truck body and equipment manufacturers while living in Omaha, Sioux City, Ia., and Sedalia and Kansas City, Mo. He had last worked for the Omaha Body & Equipment Co. prior to becoming ill.

Surviving are his wife of Omaha, two sons, Robet E. of Kansas City, Kans., and William J., stationed with the Air Force in Oregon; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Norma) McMillin of Kansas City, Kans., two brothers, Clyde in the state of Delaware and Earl of Fairfield; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Savage and Mrs. Betty Schooln of the Fairfield area; and three grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, one daughter, Beverly in infancy, and one granddaughter.
