Funeral services for John R. Cook, 71, of 1124 Glenny Ave., will be 1 p.m. tomorrow at the Parker Funeral Home, Jesup. Burial will be in Elm Cemetery at Dike. The Jesup American Legion will conduct graveside rites.

Mr. Cook died at 11 p.m. Friday at Allen Memorial Hospital of hardening of the arteries.

He was born May 14, 1895, in Grundy County. On July 30, 1920, he married Ruth Gunnerson. They lived near Dike for 18 years and then moved to Jesup where they operated a restaurant. Mr. Cook had lived in Waterloo the past 10 years.

Survivors include his widow; two sons, John, of Los Angeles; and Robert J., 109 Crestridge Drive; and two sisters, Mrs. Edna Boysen, 409 Iowa St., Cedar Falls, and Mrs. Kim Lines, of Estherville.
